- Where can I get Puri?
- Asian markets sell ready-to-fry puri dough (which puffs up) or ready-to-eat balls.
- How to eat it?
- With hands! Poke a hole in top with thumb, fill, dip in water, and pop WHOLE into mouth. If you bite, it leaks.
Green Apple Pani Puri (Indian Street Snack)

Instructions
1
✓
Grate apple finely, or blend with a little water, garlic, cilantro, and spices (cumin, chili, salt, sugar, lime).
Tip: Green apple skin adds nice color, leave it on.
2
✓
Mix pulp into the 2 cups cold water. Taste: should be sour, spicy, and sweet at once.
Tip: The colder the water, the more refreshing. Add ice!
3
✓
Prepare puris: gently poke top with finger to make a small hole.
Tip: Careful, shell is very fragile.
4
✓
Fill puris with boiled diced potato or chickpeas (optional but recommended), then fill to brim with spicy apple water just before eating.
Tip: Eat immediately, dough gets soggy in seconds!
